Root canal treatment is a common dental procedure which is used to save an infected or damaged tooth. The process involves one of our dentists removing the damaged pulp, cleaning the root canals and then sealing them to stop infection.
The treatment does not require anaesthetic and recovery time is fast, you will be eating again in no time, but allow around 60 mins for the procedure to take place.
How Does Root Canal Treatment Work?
Root canal treatment targets and addresses any infections that are located at the core of a tooth. You will usually receive root canal treatment due to issues like a cracked tooth, deep cavity, or problems with fillings.
During the process, the dentist or endodontist (root specialist) accesses both the pulp chamber and the root canals, eliminating any infected or inflamed pulp. This careful cleaning ensures the removal of any bacteria and inflammation.

We will place a temporary filling to seal the tooth and recommend over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen to manage any discomfort afterward.

Excellent Dentist
Mark has been looking after me and my family for years. I can honestly say he’s the best dentist I’ve ever been to and have absolute faith in him and his entire friendly team. He’s always been caring and most importantly for me gentle and never does anything unnecessary (unlike previous dentist) His new surgery at Brent Cross is bright and modern with state of the art equipment. Wouldn’t go anywhere else

So disappointed and feel let down by Mark Becker, who despite being an excellent dentist, with state of the art equipment , showed himself to be insensitive and uncaring. My husband (79 years young) fell in his surgery and hit his side severely, in front of Mark. He had to ask for water, and wasn’t asked how he was getting home . The bruising and pain was SO bad he had to go for an X Ray to check if his ribs were broken , and he had bruising covering 1/3rd of his back for 2 weeks, and still has severe discomfort.. Only after 24 hours and 2 of my calls to his receptionists , did Mark finally phone back, with no apology for not enquiring how his patient was . Disgusted and neither of us will be returning to this practice.
