Fillers
Lip filler /hydration
Lip filler involves injecting hyaluronic acid to hydrate, volumise, harmonise or accentuate the lips. How the filler is placed is dependent on the person’s individual concerns; at Beam Dental, Dr Kelman enjoys producing subtle results that look natural. To ensure a comfortable experience, she uses topical anaesthetic and filler with numbing agent in it too. The lips can also be injected with local anaesthetic for heightened anaesthesia.
Results last 6-12 months. Dr Kelman uses temporary, hyaluronic acid based fillers, which are reversible and the safest fillers available.
Lip Filler Treatments
Cheek Filler
One of the first places we age on the face is the cheeks. Here, the fat breaks down and descends, leading to the appearance of nose-to-mouth lines, marionette lines and jowls. Well-placed filler can return your cheeks to where they used to be, lifting your face and providing a more youthful look. Intense exercise and weight loss can also affect midface volume. In addition, filler can be placed in the cheeks for the purpose of subtly beautifying a younger face by defining the cheekbones, though less filler is required.
We numb the skin first with anaesthetic cream and the filler contains anaesthetic too – this make the procedure as comfortable as possible. The result settles within 2-3 weeks and lasts 6-12 months. Dr Kelman uses temporary, hyaluronic acid based fillers, which are reversible and the safest fillers available.

Nose-to-mouth Lines
The lines that appear from the corner of the nose to the corner of the mouth are called nasolabial lines/folds. They develop because of ageing through loss of fat and bone support in the cheeks and due to the skin getting thinner. These facial depressions can be reduced by careful placement of filler. Numbing cream is used prior to the procedure and Dr Kelman uses a cannula (a blunt needle) to maximise comfort and safety during the procedure. Results last 6-12 months. Dr Kelman uses temporary, hyaluronic acid based fillers, which are reversible and the safest fillers available.
Marionette Lines
Marionette lines are wrinkles that develop from the corner of the lips to the chin when we age, giving a ‘sad look’ to the face. Over time they can progress to form jowls. They are commonly treated with dermal fillers to lift the smile and fill out the creases, replacing lost volume. The results last 6-12 months. In the case of very early-stage marionette lines, Botulinum can be injected in the facial muscles to help prevent the lines from worsening and help smoothen the appearance of the skin (repeated 3- 6 monthly). Skinboosters can be used to stimulate collagen and elastic production, improve overall skin quality and therefore can be used for marionette prevention. Dr Kelman uses temporary, hyaluronic acid based fillers, which are reversible and the safest fillers available.
Jowl Treatment
Chin and Jawline Filler
Chin filler enhances the appearance of the chin by adding volume and improving its shape. We lose definition and projection with age which contributes to the appearance of jowls. A reduced chin can also affect facial profile harmony. A rounded chin apex is considered a feminine feature and so sometimes we add filler to create this shape for a more blunted chin.
Jawline filler can improve lower face support as age-related sagging occurs over time. Dr Kelman numbs the skin first with anaesthetic cream, and the filler contains anaesthetic too, in order to make the procedure as comfortable as possible. The result is fully settled within 2-3 weeks and lasts 6-12 months. Dr Kelman uses temporary, hyaluronic acid based fillers, which are reversible and the safest fillers available.

Tear Troughs
If you have deep under-eye hollows and a tired appearance, tear trough filler may be the solution for you. A thorough consultation is needed to determine the cause for the dark circles as there are different treatment recommendations for different underlying causes . Other potential treatment include polynucleotides and medical grade skincare to improve skin quality.
Numbing cream is used prior to the procedure and Dr Kelman uses a cannula (a blunt needle) to maximise comfort and safety during the procedure. She uses temporary, hyaluronic acid based fillers, which are reversible and the safest fillers available.
